25/04/16 - Accounts Assistant Required

Location: Iver, Bucks
Salary based on experience
Annual Holiday allowance of 20 days plus 8 bank holidays

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 08.30 – 16.30

Must have user knowledge of Sage Accounts and experience of Sage Payroll

Daily activities will include basic book keeping functions, working with sales and purchase ledgers and running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct.
The Accounts Assistant will be reporting to and supported by the Finance Manager.
Duties and responsibilities to include
•    Reconciling finance accounts
•    Maintaining spreadsheets
•    Credit control
•    Cash allocation
•    Sales order processing
•    Managing daily post in and out
•    Handling and writing cheques / BACS payments
•    Receiving and processing all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment
•    Verifying calculations working with the Accounts system
•    Reconciliation of Direct Debit mandates
•    Managing petty cash transactions
We are looking for someone who has the following attributes
•    Strong understanding of the workings of an office
•    Basic understanding of accountancy and book-keeping
•    Excellent interpersonal skills – to deal with customers and external contacts
•    Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometime implement own  processes
